"All About Me" and "Hh"

This week we learned about the letter Hh.  We had fun, fun with this letter.  (Above: Students form capital and lowercase Hh with their bodies).

Watch the video below to get a great look at our fun throughout the week!

We read many great books to help with the letter Hh, "Hippo Hop," and "Hide-and-Seek Hippo" were two of our favorite Hh books.

Illustrating the "H" sentence: Hilda Hippo hops happily down the hill.

Play-doh fun!

We love the letter H!

The thematic unit this week was "All About Me."  We discussed how special we each are, the students made "self-murals."  We traced each others outline, then created a mural of our favorite things.

These are some great books we read this week that helped us remember how special we are, "Freckleface Strawberry," "Today I Feel Silly," and "It's Hard To Be Five."

The students painted pictures of themselves, they did a fantastic job!

Self-Portraits

Everyone drew a picture of the number of siblings in their family, then created a class graph of the results.
