Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
We had a wonderful week at school learning about the first Thanksgiving and making many great crafts to celebrate this wonderful holiday.

This week was also our school Reading Fair.  Our class read the book "Turkey Trouble" and submitted a project to the group category.  The students did a great job identifying all the story elements and helping with the board decorations.  Our class was award 2nd place in the group division, Awesome Job, Kindergarteners!

Tyler submitted a project in the individual category, he read the book "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat."  Tyler won FIRST PLACE!!  Way to go, Tyler!

Throughout the week we made many keepsakes for Thanksgiving as we learned about the Thanksgiving traditions and the happenings of the Pilgrims and the Indians.

Thankful Turkeys - Students wrote something they were thankful for on each turkey wing.  We used these to decorate our place settings at the feast.

Indians - Everyone loved the story of the Pilgrims and the Indians, we all wanted to be Indians!

Everyone enjoyed sharing what they were thankful for this Thanksgiving, watch the video below!!

We ended the week with our own Thanksgiving Feast!  A special thank you to all the parents who provided the delicious food for our feast!

Just before the feast the students shared a presentation of the first Thanksgiving.  After much practicing, they did a wonderful job!

Watch the students perform!!

And now time to feast!

What a wonderful day, we all have so many blessings to be thankful for!
